Coaches - Various Age Groups

Calabogie Ski Racing Club (CSRC) operates out of the Calabogie Peaks Resort (http://www.calabogie.com), the highest vertical in Eastern Ontario with over 760 ft., 20 runs and the only Ontario resort that offers ski racing in the National Capital Region with excellent terrain and atmosphere.

After 6 highly successful seasons of growth, including hosting the 2006 K2 Provincial Championships, the club is seeking qualified race coaches at various age group levels (I2, K1, K2, Jr.) who can work with the club and the resort and continue to develop the next generation of our program and athlete development.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the club head coach and age group coaches to ensure a well balanced training and race program is executed to fit club and CSCF guidelines to enhance athlete development, motivation and fun
- Maintain and adhere to club and resort policies with regard to guidelines, safety, equipment, etc.
- Provide regular communication, regarding management/progress of the program and issues to the age group head coach and/or club head coach
- Manage/assist/guide athlete equipment needs
- Assist in the maintenance and control all team equipment
- Assistance of coordination of travel and accommodation for pre-season camps (1-3) and assist in coordination of out of town races provide coaching for away races, Provincial Championships
- Work closely with other club coaches to ensure teaming, learning and consistency of the program

Attributes:
- Strong communication (Written/Verbal), organizational skills
- Experience with all levels of racing including both technical and speed events
- Strong leadership/motivational skills
- Ability to work with and part of a team

Qualifications:
- Level I CSCF (Minimum) or Level I CSCF working towards Level II
- Level I Race Official
- Previous coaching experience
- Supervisory experience

The length of the contract is from December 2007 to April 2008 (Weather Dependent) with remuneration dependent upon qualifications and experience.
