Here is his message to athletes and team members;
</p>

It is with a profound regret that I announce to you today that I am leaving the NCO Ski Team to carry on with my career and work with the Québec Ski Team for next season. I would like to thank all of you for your support and trust and I feel comfortable to leave the team as your are in very good hands witht he coaching staff that is in place for next season. I hope that you’ll remember as an individual who worked with passion, dedication and enthousiasm to help the young athletes reach the next level in and outside the sport. I will remember you, parents and supporters like a group of committed people trying to give their best to allow the athletes to develop themselves as an elite crew. I will remeber the athletes as being individuals trying to find their way into the world of competition with a raising passion and a great amount of work on and off the hill. I’ll remeber those days at the summer camps, the speed training, the podiums, the attacks from the back of the pack, the crashes, the team diners, the cooking, the powder, all the incredible runs you did throughout the season, the smiles and the tears and more precisely, of all of you individuals. I wanted to give you some feedback on Monday’s training at Camp Fortune. I feel it was a great day for the I2’s and K1’s. I attended 2 parent meetings in which Joey Lavigne, Alpine Ontario Athletic Director, explained the reasoning and importance behind such skill development camps. Alpine Ontario is seeing “bad habits” at the very high levels of racing that should have been corrected at the beginning levels. They would like to see our racers work on breaking these habits now.

The day was filled with constant gate running. I believe there was 34 athletes and approx 12 coaches (Ryan can give you more accurate #’s). Joey Lavigne stood at the bottom of the run observing and giving the athletes tips all day. They wrapped things up with a meeting and gave each athlete a personal assessment.
<br />
I feel that this was a great way for our young athletes to train on different terrain, to get different coaching techniques (or hear the same thing from a different person!) and to train with their competition.
<br />
This camp was offered throughout Ontario and I was proud of Calabogie’s strong presence. I would definitely encourage athletes to attend such an event if they are offered in the future.

Tuning is essential if you want to get podium results, or meet your goals for improving your race standings.
</p>
<p>
Please read through some of these documents to learn about tuning. I recommend you ask other parents how they tune and even seek out an opportunity to learn first hand. If parents are interested I could organize a demonstration at the hill. Mr. Steve Dowd would surely be our best resource for this type of lesson. Be aware he will not share all of his secrets, but will pass along the basics. Also be advised not to have him work on your skis as he has somewhat of a dark history in this regard.

The original fracture has morphed into a break which will require surgery to remove an errant piece of dice sized bone. Welcome back to the world of ski racing.
</p>
<p>
All athlete parents are requested (read required) to obtain at least a level one certification for officiating and volunteering with the club events. Following level one certification, level two is the natural progression. Level two will allow the volunteer to hold various positions required for the successful running of our regional races.
</p>
<p>
I will be arranging a Level One course at the Peaks early in the season.
<br />
The Level 2 initial course is normally held in Ottawa but I will try to arrange for one at the Peaks should it be possible and there be a firm commitment.
</p>
<p>
Normally first year volunteers would take the level one and follow on the next year with the level two. There is no reason with some self study of the level one material that Level 2 could not be achieved in the first year.
</p>
<p>
